Northumberland County Council implemented an entire end-to-end Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution replacing their range of bespoke Oracle applications with the new Oracle ERP and Human Resources and Payroll, Finance, and Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) applications, with ongoing steady state training supported from inception by iTrain.

This comprehensive strategic change management programme included full functional integration, change management planning, development and implementation, training workshops, conference room pilot support workshops, super user training, technical implementation and support covering Human Resources and Payroll, Finance, CRM, (Service Management including other North-East Councils), and Supply Chain.

Enabling Change

iTrain was responsible for designing the business process models needed for the AIM based implementation and the functional implementation of Financials, Projects Costing and Billing and Purchasing modules that were being deployed to manage council directorates across Northumberland, and also for developing and delivering the associated training and change management programme.

iTrain was also responsible for working with the internal finance and payroll development team to configure standard Local Government payroll and Northumberland specific payroll formulae development, as well as designing the core payroll development and associated work structure for the entire council. In association with the development of new Human Resources methods and procedures, iTrain were subsequently engaged by the council to continue supporting change across the head office functions in Finance and Human Resources, including the ongoing development and deployment of the finance and work structure technologies within the Oracle suite. This involved the development of a range of interfaces and integrations with third party applications.
